Pediatric Partners Welcomes New Administrator

Pediatric Partners of Augusta, LLC has welcomed James (Jim) Mumford, MHSA, FACHE as its new administrator. Mumford joins Pediatric Partners after recently serving as the Administrator of the Children’s Hospital of Georgia and Administrative Director of the Pediatric Practices at Augusta University.

Mumford led the Children’s Hospital of Georgia to much growth during his time as administrator. The children’s hospital ranked nationally in pediatric quality and safety in 2014 and 2016 with Vizient, he purchased the first pediatric facility dog “Nugget” to help children through treatments and procedures, and Mumford also served as the executive sponsor to the first Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit in the area.

Mumford has a Master’s in Health Services Administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and graduated Cum Laude from St. Meinrad College in St. Meinrad, Indiana. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, a graduate of Leadership Augusta, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and served on the Board of Directors for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Augusta.

Today, Mumford lives in Evans, Georgia, with his wife, Megan, and they enjoy spending time with their five children and two grandchildren.
