Friday, June 1st, 2018

The Augusta Convention and Visitors Bureau is proud to welcome the National Integrated Cyber Education Center for their annual Education Discovery Forum being held at the Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center June 4-7.

This annual forum will bring together 150 K-12 STEM educators and administrators for a multi-day professional development course in which they will be immersed in NICERC’s interactive cyber, computer science, and STEM: Explore, Discover, Apply (STEM EDA) curricula and resources. Forum attendees will select one of four content threads (Cyber Literacy with Boe-Bot, Cyber Literacy with Arduino, Computer Science with Raspberry Pi, or STEM EDA) and remain in that thread for the duration of the Education Discovery Forum. By attending, educators will obtain new curricula, strategies, and classroom resources, as well as modern approaches to teaching 21st century cyber concepts in a relevant, grade-appropriate manner.
