Walton Options Named Beneficiary of Jersey Auction for GreenJackets Star Wars Night

An intergalactic community will gather Saturday June 23, 2018 at the new SRP Park in North Augusta to celebrate baseball, Star Wars and Inclusion. The Augusta GreenJackets will welcome Walton Options for Independent Living as their community partner for their specially themed Star Wars Night.
 
The night will include a pregame concert by local hit band, New Holland Rd., Moe’s Southwest Grill Kids-Run-The-Bases, a Galactic Fireworks Show, and special edition jersey auction centered around the LucasFilm Star Wars franchise. The team will wear specially designed Star Wars/GreenJackets jerseys during the game with a silent auction running until the 6th inning. Auction winners will be able to receive their jerseys and get them signed on the field with the players following the game.
 
As community partners for this game, Walton Options has been named the beneficiary of the jersey auction with proceeds from the auction going to benefit the support and maintenance of Walton Options’ services and programs for the disability community in the CSRA.
 
“We are very excited to be a part of the GreenJackets inaugural season in North Augusta and to take part in this year’s Star Wars Night,’ explained Tiffany Clifford, Executive Director of Walton Options for Independent Living. “We have worked with the GreenJackets over the years including hosting Jeff Eiseman as our guest speaker for the MVP Community Awards. Their continued work towards inclusion in the CSRA is something we hope to see more of as the area continues to grow and transform.”
