Travis Reed, CCIM, Joins Presley Realty

Travis Reed, a commercial broker specializing in investment properties, forestry, development and construction, who’s actively been working in the CSRA for years, has joined the growing real estate brokerage and development firm, Presley Realty.  Travis will be helping with Presley Realty’s timber work, listing and selling large tracts of land in Georgia and South Carolina, as well as helping manage development projects.  Regarding his latest transition, Travis stated, “I’m excited to be here as a part of what Presley Realty is doing.  They’re already involved in several exciting development projects, and I’m looking forward to diving in and being a part of that.  I really love and appreciate the professionalism and the team environment at Presley and am tremendously excited about the trajectory of the firm.”  In speaking with Head Broker and Owner, Joel Presley, regarding Travis’ transition, Joel stated, “We’re very thankful to have Travis on the Presley team.  His experience and personal qualities are exceptional - the highest caliber.  I’m looking forward to working with Travis to create projects we can be proud of with excellent results for our clients and investors.”     
 
A native of Lincolnton, Georgia, Travis earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Resources from the University of Georgia and served as president of Reed Logging, Inc. for 25 years. Before joining the family logging business in the mid-1980s, Travis worked for Barco International, an international agricultural construction company, as head of its Middle Eastern/North African division, spending six years in Iraq and Egypt.  After Barco, he spent time in England working with Middle East Econometrics Limited, researching and writing feasibility studies for Middle Eastern clients of the World Bank.  Travis has earned the CCIM designation, one of the commercial real estate industry’s highest distinctions.  Travis has two daughters, Shelli and Whitney, and five grandchildren and lives with his wife, Gail, in Evans, Georgia.  As a graduate forester with a lifetime spent in the land and forest industry, Travis is committed to land and timber conservation.  He enjoys shooting trap and sporting clays and serves on the board of directors of Pinetucky Gun Club.

Served on the Dean’s steering committee during the initialization of the Graduate School of Forest Management of the School of Forest Resources, UGA
