The Augusta Sports Council and the Board of Directors are proud to announce that five local graduating student athletes have received the annual GAMES Scholarship. Recipients were chosen on the basis of academic achievement (50%), athletic achievement (30%) and community involvement (20%).

The 2019 recipients are:

Erin Andrews- Midland Valley High School

Addison Cooper- Greenbrier High School

Tucker Reed Gilbert- Lakeside High School

Kyarra Mynae Newton- Greenbrier High School

Abbey Steele- Greenbrier High School

Including 2019, the Augusta Sports Council has awarded over $38,000 in college scholarships to 28 graduating high school student athletes in the Augusta community. The GAMES Scholarship began in 2011 as part of the Augusta Sports Council’s annual G.A.M.E.S. Awards which was an annual program created to highlight outstanding amateur athletes who represented a broad spectrum of sports disciplines in the area.
