Augusta Regional Airport (AGS) has partnered with the Children’s Hospital of Georgia to raise funds for the Children’s Miracle Network in support of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month!

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. According to the National Cancer Institute, there will be an estimated 11,060 new cases of children from birth to age 14 diagnosed with different forms of cancer during 2019. This campaign is organized as a way to increase awareness and raise funds to support the research into the causes, prevention, diagnosis, treatments, and cure of all childhood cancers.

The Airport will begin selling gold pin-wheels for $1 each, today, August 20th. These pin-wheels will be placed by the Airport’s main entrance sign during the month of September. To purchase a pin-wheel you may visit AGS between 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
