Queensborough National Bank & Trust Welcomes Michelle Hester Piper

Michelle Hester Piper has joined Queensborough National Bank & Trust as a vice president and business development officer.

A Columbia County resident since 1989, Piper has spent 36 years in the banking industry, including Bankers First, First National Bank, First Union Bank and more. She has spent the past 17 years at Cadence Bank.

“We are very excited to have Michelle on our team. She is a community banker at heart, coming to us with many years of community banking experience,” said Adam Harris, senior vice president at Queensborough Bank.

Piper and her husband Sid, have two daughters, Haley Lamb and Caitlin Maxwell, and three grandchildren. She is a member of Abilene Baptist Church.

She has been a volunteer for the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce since 2003, during which time she has served on the board of directors. She is a past chairman of the chamber’s board and has served on the Youth Leadership Planning Committee for 13 years. She is a mentor for the chamber’s Women on the Way program.
