ForcesUnited, providing advocacy and assistance to service members, veterans and their families in 33 counties in Georgia and South Carolina, is seeking a permanent CEO to fill the leadership role previously held by Kim Elle, who recently retired after seven years.

This position has been filled temporarily by interim CEO Victoria Hann.

“We thank Kim and Victoria for their commitment to our mission, and we look forward to continuing to help veterans and service members obtain the resources they need to lead healthy and productive lives,” said James Heffner, Search Committee Chair of the ForcesUnited Board of Directors. “We are seeking a CEO with a strong background in strategic leadership and development with non-profit experience and a track record of success,” Heffner noted.

Heffner said that the CEO position based in Augusta, GA, reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for achieving the organization’s mission, strategic goals, financial objectives and sustainability. Applicants can apply online by submitting a resume to [email protected].

In 2019 ForcesUnited received the prestigious Call of Duty Seal of Distinction for veteran employment services.  Heffner notes that Elle, a retired Colonel in the Air Force Reserve, built a solid team of staff, volunteers, community partners and board members who are dedicated to providing “help on the home front.”
