For the landmark 20th year, Children’s Hospital of Georgia will host the Cares for Kids Radiothon, which will air on WBBQ 104.3, 105.7 The Bull and Kiss 96.3. The event, taking place from Dec. 3-5, is also sponsored by News 12/NBC 26.

Miracle stories featuring patients, families and staff will be aired from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday during this annual Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals fundraiser for the area’s only affiliated hospital. Tune in to hear more about the Brannen sisters, both Type 1 diabetics who travel from Savannah to receive their care at Children’s. Brooklyn, who was born at 23 weeks and weighing 15 ounces, is now a courageous little girl whose parents say is such a blessing. These children and thousands more each year are able to receive the care and treatment they need and deserve at the area’s only hospital dedicated 100% to kids.

While things will be very different this year, volunteers will be ready to take your call. Please consider becoming a Miracle Maker this year by pledging just $15 a month — that’s less than 50 cents a day. Your gift will immediately go to help kids like the Brannen sisters, Brooklyn and many more. Giving is easy:

The final tally will be announced at 1 p.m. Saturday. More than $255,000 was raised last year during Radiothon to fund specialized pediatric care and equipment at Children’s. Community and national support is vital to keep the not-for-profit Children’s Hospital of Georgia running smoothly by enabling the purchases of unique items like Kangaroo Chairs, Gliders, Mamaroo Swings, transilluminators, Child Life supplies, bassinets, blanket warmers, and more.
