United Way of the CSRA Welcomes 10 New Members to the Board of Directors

The United Way of the CSRA has recently announced several new community leaders to its 2021 Board of Directors. Elected by the current Board of Directors, these local community leaders include executives from Atlanta Gas Light Company, the Augusta Chronicle, TaxSlayer, Augusta Technical College, Burke County Board of Education, and bring their career expertise and passion for philanthropy to advance our mission of Leading Families Forward.

New members elected to a 3 year term to the Board of Directors include:

  • Leland Adams, Resident Director, Merrill Lynch

  • Tony Bernados, President, Augusta Chronicle

  • Cordell Carter, Director of Regional Operations, Atlanta Gas Light Company

  • Yvonne Meeks, Community Development Representative, SRP Federal Credit Union

  • Dr. Tarak Patel, President and Owner, CliniCare ID Consultants of CSRA

  • Missy Polhemus, Chief Marketing Officer, TaxSlayer

  • Paige Walden, HR Director and Head of Reward, Thermal Ceramics, Inc

  • Dr. Jermaine Whirl, President, Augusta Technical College

  • Briana Williams, Community Relations Officer, Queensborough National Bank & Trust

  • Angela Williams, Superintendent, Burke County Board of Education

The United Way of the CSRA Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing the organization’s mission and raise awareness around the Leading Families Forward initiative, which aims to help residents across four focus areas in our 12 county footprint: Childhood Success, Youth Success, Workforce Development, and Access to Resources.
