theClubhou.se, with support from the Partnership for Inclusive Innovation, the Georgia Power Foundation, and the Wells Fargo Foundation, is launching a 5-city mesh network to expand entrepreneurship training, access to startup capital, and financial support for Entrepreneur Support Organizations in Georgia.

In Augusta, the program known as the Make Startups Certificate of Entrepreneurship Pilot Program is being offered by theClubhou.se and is a course designed to provide entrepreneurial skills training for Adults and Dislocated Workers, so they may create new businesses to help grow the regional economy.

Make Startups Certificate of Entrepreneurship Pilot Program comprises more than 300 hours for students over the course of 9 months. The training course is composed of 12 weeks of hands-on training and 24 weeks of one-on-one mentoring.  The training will be held virtually with some in person labs and collaboration opportunities and includes coworking space at theClubhou.se located in the Georgia Cyber Center in downtown Augusta, GA.  To inquire about application:        https://www.theclubhou.se/apply-yourself

$5,149 course cost includes tuition, materials and supplies.  Some full and partial scholarships available for qualified applicants.  $149 will be credited back to students upon completion of course and proof of business license obtainment. As a part of the application the student/entrepreneur must complete a free prerequisite Zero Barriers Virtual Workshop where they will learn the basics of market analyses and personal finance to help make sure their business can succeed in meeting their needs.  This pre-course will help a possible student/entrepreneur determine if they are ready to create a business or if they simply want to pursue their idea as a side hustle.

Applications are being accepted February 16 – March 31 with a program start date of April 27, 2021.  Only 25 student/entrepreneurs will be accepted into the program.  The course requires a commitment of 24 hours a week to attend class, meet with mentors, and complete class assignments.  This training course includes formal instruction, one-on-one mentoring, workspace, and 9 months of wrap around support from theClubhou.se. In addition, the coursework provides experiential learning assignments and support in developing and growing an actual business, with measurable local economic impact.

In successfully completing the Make Startups Certificate of Entrepreneurship, participants will learn and demonstrate the skills necessary to build and grow a business through formal lessons, socratic learning, and practical application in their own business.  In addition to pursuing the growth of their own businesses, the skills learned in this course will help graduates pursue business development, managerial, and leadership roles in existing businesses.

Eric Parker, President of theClubhou.se, said, “The Make Startups Certificate of Entrepreneurship is designed with lenders and investors to ensure that graduates will be able to access the investment capital they need to grow their business and make a living as an entrepreneur.
