Augusta Technical College and CSRA SHRM have established a collaborative relationship that supports the education and professional development of SHRM members.

Augusta Tech will provide credentialed faculty that will teach SHRM certification prep classes and work to coordinate an employment law series for HR professionals. Facility space will be provided for meetings on the Augusta Tech campus, and membership opportunities for Augusta Tech’s business management human resource majors will also be provided.

“Augusta Technical College is excited to partner with CSRA SHRM. Our mission is workforce development, and our ability to support our human resource professionals in continuing education and access to our graduates provides a win-win for both institutions,” stated college president Dr. Jermaine Whirl.

Moreover, the more than 200 members of CSRA SHRM will get an opportunity to access the college’s continuing education offerings in topics covering leadership and information technology while also getting access to graduates who would fill their local workforce needs.

"We look forward to being a part of what Dr. Whirl and Augusta Tech have planned for the future of the greater Augusta area. This mutually beneficial partnership will allow our local chapter to further achieve our mission of providing resources, education, and advancement opportunities in the CSRA,” stated J.D. McCauley, President of CSRA SHRM

Program offerings are set to begin fall 2021. Classes will be held through Augusta Tech’s Economic Development Division under the direction of Dr. Lisa Palmer, Vice President for Economic Development.
