Augusta Technical College is proud to announce the appointment of Mr. Randall Hatcher as the new chairman of the Augusta Technical College Foundation.

A 1978 graduate of the University of Georgia, Randy has worked for MAU Workforce Solutions, a family-owned business founded by his late father, William G. Hatcher. MAU’s reach extends internationally, and it is one of the largest independently owned staffing firms in North America.

Mr. Hatcher serves on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Department of Economic Development, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce Board of Governors, and the Alliance for Ft. Gordon. A past member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO), Randy currently belongs to the World President’s Organization (WPO) and the Chief Executives’ Organization (CEO).

“Many communities and cities around our nation struggle to find educated and trained workers for the important jobs they need filled every year,” stated Mr. Hatcher. “Augusta Technical College provides over 100 programs of study, has a graduation rate of students who enter their field of 84%, and has provided employment for almost 13,000 graduates in the CSRA over the last 10 years. We are fortunate to have the faculty and staff dedicated to making Augusta one of the most sought-after workplaces in the nation.”

Mr. Hatcher is passionate about influencing behavior to encourage positive outcomes. In the business world, this idea has manifested itself in two primary ways: through his pioneering roles in both the staffing and outsourcing industries and through his many interactions with business leaders, whether one-on-one or in group settings.

“Augusta Technical College is thrilled to have Mr. Randy Hatcher serve as our incoming chairman of the Augusta Tech Foundation,” stated college president Dr. Jermaine Whirl. “Randy is a staunch advocate of technical education and he strongly values the graduates that come out of our institution. He’s keenly aware of the workforce needs within our region and will champion our work to the greater CSRA community. We’re honored to have him serve in such a pivotal time for the institution.”

Founded in 1987 by a group of community supporters and technical education advocates of Augusta Technical College, The Augusta Technical College Foundation works to advance the college and their students through scholarship support, equipment purchases, land acquisitions and other areas as identified by the trustee board and the administration. The Augusta Tech Foundation serves as the fundraising arm of the college and facilitates donations made by individuals, businesses, and corporations.

“We are pleased that Mr. Hatcher has accepted the volunteer position of Foundation Chairman for the Augusta Technical College Foundation Board of Trustees,” stated Mrs. Beverly Peltier, Director of Institutional Advancement and The Augusta Technical College Foundation. “As we move forward to support Augusta Technical College and its plans for the future, he brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the position.”

Randy is married to the former Marilee Harrover and they have three children, five grandsons and one granddaughter .
