WAAW General Manager and event organizer Donna Moore Wesby says, "The pandemic put a screeching halt on the 2020 Shoutfest; however, due to several safety protocols put in place, we are moving forward this year with confidence knowing that we are doing everything possible to help keep the public safe." Such protocols include temperature checks at the entrance to be performed by Rural Health Services, Inc. and area health professionals, masks will be provided by Aiken Personnel Services, SCDHEC will administer all three COVID-19 vaccinations for those who desire the vaccine, hand sanitizers will be located at vendor locations, social distancing will be practiced, a limited quantity of persons will be allowed under the VIP tent, and attendance capacity will be monitored. "We have received extremely positive responses from listeners and previous Shoutfest attendees who are longing for this positive family event that's also outdoors and considerate of everyone's safety," says Wesby.
Special thanks to the 2021 Shoutfest major sponsors: Gold sponsor: The Chandler Law Firm. Silver sponsors: Don's Seasoning Delight (Wesby's Products & Services); Security Federal Bank, Greater Faith Fellowship Church; McDonalds owned by Tom and Pam Powers, Rural Health Services, Inc., and Collette Ball State Farm.
