Augusta Technical College is excited to announce the appointment of Mrs. Sherrick Johnson as the new Vice President for Administrative Services.
Mrs. Johnson holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration, both from Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia, and an Associate of Applied Technology in Accounting from Augusta Technical College. While working towards her Associate degree at Augusta Tech, she worked as a work study in the Business Office working for the Accounts Receivable Specialist.
Mrs. Johnson stated, "My Associate Degree from Augusta Technical College is the most valuable credential I have earned because what I learned at Augusta Tech became the solid foundation for me to build my educational and professional successes upon."
Mrs. Johnson currently serves as the Director of Accounting at Augusta Technical College. She has over 20 years of accounting experience of which 18 of those years are in leadership within the Administrative Services Division. Ms. Johnson manages departmental budgets, purchasing, campus asset inventory, and the Campus Bookstore She has years of experience in Governmental Accounting and manages budgets from various fund sources such as state appropriations, federal grants, and local fund sources. She collaborates with internal stakeholders within and outside of the division, external stakeholders throughout the community, as well as the governing stakeholders, the Technical College System of Georgia.

"Mrs. Johnson has been a stellar employee of over 20 years, who started at our institution as a student and has worked her way up the ladder. We have full confidence in her leadership and know she’ll do a great job leading the division of administrative services."
Ms. Johnson is active in her church where she has served in the Youth Ministry locally and on the district. She encourages and supports the youth in church ministries, academics, school organizations, and sports. She enjoys spending time with her husband of over 20 years, cheering at her teen son’s basketball games, listening to her daughter’s adventures as a CDL driver, and watching her eldest son’s experiences as he grows in his role as a husband and father.
