The Augusta Sports Council and the Board of Directors are happy to announce that Bobby Martin has been hired as the organization's Events Manager. Martin joins the ASC team after a 22 year career with the Augusta Parks and Recreation Department where he served most recently as the Athletics Program Manager since 2011.

Martin is a graduate of Georgia Southern University where he earned his B.S. in Sport Management. An Augusta native, Martin hails from Westside High School where he played both baseball and basketball.

Michelle Naval, CEO of the Augusta Sports Council, had this to say about the newest member of the organization, "We are excited to have Bobby on our team. His history and experience with athletics in Augusta Richmond County will be a huge asset for our organization’s future!" In his role as the Events Manager, Bobby Martin will be responsible for logistics, planning and safe execution of all sporting events in which the ASC is involved.
