Augusta Sports Council Now Accepting 2022 GAMES Scholarship Nominations

The Augusta Sports Council Board of Directors are proud to announce the ten recipients for the annual GAMES Scholarship Program. The recipients were chosen by the GAMES Scholarship Committee from a list of nominated senior student-athletes from Richmond, Columbia, Burke, McDuffie, Wilkes, Warren and Aiken counties. Each scholarship recipient was chosen based on their performances in the classroom, as members of their athletic programs, and their positive impact on their community. Each recipient receives a $1,000 scholarship to support advancement in their education.

2022 GAMES Scholarship Recipients:

Reese Basinger, Evans High School

Layla Bland, Greenbrier High School

Austin Brown, North Augusta High School

Hannah Dickson, South Aiken High School

Luke Hanna, Aiken High School

Ashley Marshall, Greenbrier High School

Felix Scheyer, Academy of Richmond County

Eli Scott, Westminster Schools of Augusta

Jonah Weinstein, Greenbrier High School

Quincy Wells, Fox Creek High School

To date, the Augusta Sports Council has awarded over $68,000 in college scholarships to 58 graduating high school student athletes in the Augusta community.

The GAMES Scholarship began in 2011 as part of the Augusta Sports Council’s annual G.A.M.E.S. Awards which was an annual program created to highlight outstanding amateur athletes who represented a broad spectrum of sports disciplines in the area.

The Augusta Sports Council would like to thank all of our 2022 GAMES Supporters for helping us honor and celebrate these outstanding student-athletes!
