Augusta Announces Key Sponsors for National Community Development Association 2022 Region IV Conference

Augusta, Georgia government is pleased to have the support of several sponsors for the National Community Development Association 2022 Region IV Conference being held in Augusta, Georgia during September 13-16 at the Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center.

Conference sponsors include Augusta Economic Development Authority, Augusta Transit, Borad View America, Coca-Cola, Destination Augusta, Edgar’s Above Broad, eXp Realty, Gallop & Associates, Georgia Trend Magazine, Goodwill of Middle Georgia & the CSRA, Horizon Construction, iHeart Media, Infrastrcutre System Management, LLC., Meybohm, M3 Agency, Neigborly Software, Realty One, Regions Banks, Re/Max Reinvented, Sand Hills Urban Development, SRP Federal Credit Union, WODA Cooper Companies, and ZoomGrant.

“Hosting a high-profile conference with this many moving parts takes time, effort, and the support of community partners,” said Interim Administrator Takiyah A. Douse. “We are excited about the overwhelming support we have received for this conference, and I look forward to our attendees benefitting from the activities being made available to them due to the contributions from our partners.”

Augusta Housing and Community Development (HCD) Director Hawthorne Welcher shared similar sentiments.

“HCD remains excited that the NCDA Conference is molding into an impactful event clearly speaking to local, regional and national practitioners serious about community transformation,” said Welcher.

When considering the impact of the event, some of the conference sponsors shared their thoughts on being a part of the conference.

Transforming Lives – Impacting Lives is the theme for this year’s gathering. The three- day conference brings together community development professionals from across the region to discuss the latest federal policies and best practices for addressing community development, including the national issues of affordable housing and homelessness.
