Kim Davies, PhD, dean of Pamplin College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, recently appears as guest host of the nationally recognized True Crime Daily: The Podcast.

Davies, a criminologist, appeared on the podcast with host Ana Garcia to talk about a pair of cases that have received national publicity. One case involves a neonatal nurse accused of killing seven newborns and the other involves a Colorado woman who allegedly invited a Tinder date to her house and then cut, choked and threatened to kill him.

Davies’s academic focus is on homicide and violence, and she has published a number of papers on the topic, including two books.
