14th Annual Tee Off Fore Tatas Golf Tournament Aims to Raise Record Funds for Breast Cancer Research

Tuesday, October 3rd, 2023

With over $200,000 donated to breast cancer research since its inception, the Apartment Association of Greater Augusta is set to host its 14th annual Tee Off Fore Tatas charity golf tournament on Oct. 6 at Mount Vintage Golf Club, aiming for another record-breaking year.

Proceeds from the popular event will benefit the Georgia Cancer Center at Augusta University, contributing to vital research in the battle against breast cancer—a disease the American Cancer Society estimates one in eight U.S. women will develop.

Shelly Martin, who has chaired the event committee since the beginning, expressed her enthusiasm: "Beyond having fun on the course, we're also contributing to the breast cancer research at the Georgia Cancer Center."

Tee Off Fore Tatas welcomes players of all skill levels. Registration is available online at www.golfaaga.com, with spots at $200 for single players and $800 for teams of four. Sponsorship levels begin at $400, and donations of any amount are appreciated.

Participants can partake in various contests, with an awards ceremony and live auction concluding the event. Last year, the tournament raised an impressive $42,719.96.

The Georgia Cancer Center is a renowned multi-disciplinary academic cancer center with a mission to reduce the burden of cancer through superior care, innovation, and education.

The Apartment Association of Greater Augusta is a leading trade organization for the multifamily housing industry in the Central Savannah River Area, dedicated to promoting professional growth, education, networking opportunities, and community involvement.
