Augusta University is Roaring Loud for Homecoming 2024

Augusta University is gearing up for an unforgettable Homecoming Week 2024the week of Feb. 11-17. JagNation will be “roaring loud” with pride, unity and an unwavering sense of school spirit.

This year’s theme showcases why Augusta University is proud to be the home of the Jaguars with a fun music festival twist.

Roarchella: Homecoming Kickoff

To kick off Homecoming Week, Homecoming Kickoff will begin at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, at the D. Douglas Barnard Jr. Amphitheatre on the Summerville Campus.

A live DJ will play music, and there will be giveaways for students leading up to the big reveal of student organizations’ Homecoming-themed banners and the Homecoming court candidates.

Homecoming court elections

The Augusta University 2024 Homecoming court elections open Monday, Feb. 12, and close at 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15. The election link will be sent to students through their Augusta University email. All students are encouraged to vote.

Pass the Paw competition

From Sunday, Feb. 11, through Saturday, Feb. 17, the Jaguar Production Crewinvites Fraternity and Sorority Life and registered student organizations to enter the annual Pass the Paw competition. This competition encourages students to participate in all Homecoming Week events to win prizes and bragging rights.

Jagstock: Homecoming Hangout

From 2-6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12, at the Bank of America Plaza on the Health Sciences Campus, there will be giveaways for students, as well as free food and fun activities.

Oakville: Candidate Cookout

From 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, students will have an opportunity to visit the Homecoming candidates’ tables to learn more about them while enjoying grilled food at the D. Douglas Barnard Jr. Amphitheatre on the Summerville Campus.

One JagFest: Jaguar Mania

Student organizations will compete and show off their dance moves at the annual Homecoming dance competition, Jaguar Mania, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at the Maxwell Performing Arts Theatre on Summerville Campus.

Ultrablue: Homecoming Dance

Students will dance and showcase their JagNation pride at the homecoming dance at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, inside the Dr. Roscoe Williams Ballroom in the JSAC on the Summerville Campus.

The official 2024 Homecoming duke and duchess will be crowned at this event.

Homecoming game

The annual Homecoming basketball games will be held on Saturday, Feb. 17, at Christenberry Fieldhouse. Both teams will host Peach Belt Conference foe Georgia Southwestern State University with the women’s basketball game tipping off at 1:30 p.m. and the men’s game following at approximately 3:30 p.m.

Prior to the game, Augusta University alumni are invited to gather at the Homecoming Alumni Tailgate from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. located near the baseball field adjacent to Christenberry Fieldhouse. Tickets to the tailgate are $15, which includes food by Cantina Locale, drinks and admission to the games. The first 50 tailgaters will receive a free T-shirt. Alumni attendees are also encouraged to stop by the alumni hospitality suite during the men’s basketball game located in the North Mezzanine.

During halftime of the men’s game, the 2024 Homecoming king and queen will be crowned. Winners of the “Pass the Paw” student organization competition will also be announced.
