“Russell Joel Brown Home for the Holidays at Paine College” Concert on December 5th and 6th

The sounds of the holidays will fill your heart at this wide-ranging theatrical concert at Paine College’s Gilbert-Lambuth Chapel at an evening show on December 5that 7:00pm and matinee show on December 6th at 4:00pm.
Backed by a 9-piece band, an 85-voice choir, dancers, and original projections, Russell Joel Brown ushers in the holiday season. Covering musical styles such as classical, Broadway, Country, Blues, Pop, and R & B, there is sure o be something for everyone.

An Augusta native, Russell Joel Brown is best known locally for his many sold-out “From Mozart to Motown” concerts, as well as his over a decade-long tour with The Lion King. A veteran actor, singer, and dancer Russell has performed on Broadway in “Smokey Joe’s Café”, “The Scarlet Pimpernel”, “Big River” and “Ain’t Misbehavin’”. He also sang as a featured guest at the funerals of Thurgood Marshall, Arthur Ashe, Cab Calloway, and Dizzy Gillespie. His contributions to the arts and arts organizations in Augusta, as well as his work mentoring young people, have left an indelible mark on the community.
Mr. Brown is producing the concert as a fundraiser to support Paine College. Dr. Lester A.
