Partridge Inn Holdings, LLC Purchases Hallmark of Southern Hospitality

An Augusta landmark on Walton Way in the Summerville district, the historic Partridge Inn is under new ownership and receiving a facelift. In June, Partridge Inn Holdings, LLC won the auction with a top bid of $4.25 million. Partridge Inn Holdings took official ownership of the hotel on August 18.

Signing bonuses hit an all-time high of 74 percent, while spot bonuses were used by 60 percent of companies—more than in 2010, 2008 or 2005.

The financial turmoil rocking Georgia’s hospitals shows no signs of fading. Just this past week, Emory-Adventist Hospital announced it would close by the end of October. By doing so, the Smyrna hospital would become the fifth Georgia hospital to close within the past two years. And unlike the previous four, it is in the affluent Atlanta suburbs, not a struggling rural area.
