Queensborough Bank Expands Footprint

Queensborough National Bank and Trust has been serving the Augusta area since 1902. Its footprint in Georgia expands along the Georgia side of the Savannah River and effective October 26th will include two new branches in Rincon and Savannah, Georgia bringing the total number of branches to 24.

Metro Augusta’s Unemployment Rate Declines to 6.3% in September

The Georgia Department of Labor announced today that Metro Augusta’s unemployment rate for September was 6.3 percent, down two-tenths of a percentage point from 6.5 percent in August. The rate in September 2014 was 7.3 percent.

Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce Announces Planned Relocation to New Office Space

The Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce announced that it has entered into a lease agreement with the Augusta Riverfront Center to facilitate the relocation of the chamber offices. The new location at One 10th Street, Augusta Riverfront Center, includes 5,000 square feet of office space on the first floor.
