Historic Augusta, Inc., works to preserve historically or architecturally significant sites in Augusta and Richmond County, Georgia. Both apply to the Sibley Mill site, which is one of the oldest and storied structures in the Augusta Canal National Landmark District. The EDTS Headquarters sit separate but adjacent to the smoke stack, the most original and recognizable structure in Sibley Mill, now slated to become the Augusta Cyberworks campus.

“We wanted our new headquarters to have expansive light-filled space and optimum physical security,” says Charles Johnson, founder and CEO of EDTS and EDTS Cyber, “We thought we’d most likely find those characteristics in a modern building, but we really wanted something that reflected our ties to the city of Augusta and the rich history of industry here.”
Charles Johnson and the leadership team feel their restored historic space has surpassed expectations and met all of their requirements for a headquarters that will allow for growth, expansion, and a positive company culture.
With architectural design by Christopher Booker & Associates, and general contracting by Augusta American Building Company, the former cotton mill was restored to house a growing staff and cutting-edge cyber security operations center. Elements like 100-year-old chalk marks on the wooden support beams and thick wood panel flooring were retained and preserved, while other elements were entirely rebuilt or added to outfit the needs of a bustling technology company.
EDTS COO, Will McGee, and CTO, Craig Tarkenton, received the award on behalf of EDTS at the 5:30 pm ceremony, held at the Augusta Country Club.
