Georgia Tourism Industry Generates Record $60.8B Economic Impact

Gov. Nathan Deal was joined by professionals from Georgia’s tourism industry for the annual Tourism, Hospitality & Arts Day at the Capitol to recognize the $60.8 billion impact of tourism on Georgia’s economy. Industry representatives presented Deal with a check representing the $3.1 billion in state and local tax revenue generated by tourism-related expenditures.

Development Authority of Columbia County to Build New Industrial Park

The Development Authority of Columbia County and the Columbia County Board of Commissioners are pleased to announce the development on a new industrial park. On December 28th the Development Authority of Columbia County purchased 271.9 acres at Exit 183 on Interstate 20 between Appling and Harlem. This site will serve as the foundation for Columbia County’s new industrial Park.
