The new Doc’s Porchside, a casual dining restaurant featuring a variety of American dishes and barbecue favorites, is now open in Grovetown and Augusta.

Doc’s Porchside is a new venture from local Wild Wing Café franchise owners Jan “Doc” and Tricie Scholer. They developed the new concept and parted ways with Wild Wing Café last month.  

With almost 20 years of restaurant management and experience, the Scholers created the idea and concept of Doc’s Porchside as a family. Doc and Tricie will be heavily involved, and their son Daniel Scholer will oversee the day-to-day operations of the new restaurant and its two locations. 

“We had a fantastic opening this week,” Tricie Scholer said. “Our guests really seemed to enjoy themselves, and the restaurant was filled with laughter. This is a great experience for our family and our Doc’s Porchside team.”

The restaurants are at 5147 Bluegrass Trail, Grovetown, and 3035 Washington Road, Agusta. Menu options include a wide variety of appetizers, sliders, flatbreads, quesadillas, salads, wings, sandwiches, platters, smoked items, and much more chosen by the Scholer family. Smoked foods are prepared on Recteq smokers onsite.
