Augusta Regional Airport (AGS) is thrilled to announce the first annual Run the Runway 5K!

AGS will host it's first-ever Run the Runway 5K on March 19, 2022. The course starts on Lock and Dam Road and winds through the beautiful New Savannah Bluff Lock & Dam Park before it takes you onto the Airports’ actual runway and taxiway. The proceeds of the race will benefit local Veterans and Service Members through the non-profit organization, ForcesUnited.

“ForecesUnited request your support of the Augusta Regional Airport-Run the Runway 5K so we can continue to connect Services Members, Veterans, and their families, from All eras with services, programs, and resources to mitigate crisis, improve their lives and empower them to prosper in the community,” said Hollis Bush, Interim President and CEO of ForcesUnited.  

“We are excited on two fronts.  First, to partner with and assist a great organization like ForcesUnited.  Second, to provide the community an opportunity, via a health-related event, to experience the Airport from a unique perspective,” said Herbert L. Judon Jr., Airport Executive Director. “We encourage community members to come out and share this experience”
