ATC Development Moves to Downtown Augusta
Monday, April 4th, 2022
ATC Development is moving to a new home at 901 Greene St. in downtown Augusta. The company completed its purchase of the previous coworking space on March 24.
The 15,000-square-foot building has over 40 individual glass-wall offices, a classroom, several conference rooms, an event space and a café.
One of the offices will belong to Barry Slaymaker, ATC’s vice president of finance.
“ATC’s relocation of our corporate headquarters to 901 Greene St. represents our latest, but assuredly not last, investment in downtown Augusta,” said Slaymaker. “Augusta’s downtown and its
businesses are growing, investment is on the rise, and the quality of life is exceptional. We are fortunate to now have a front row seat to this continued revitalization.”
ATC Development is no stranger to Greene Street. The company purchased and restored the Stovall- Barnes House at 1211 Greene St. in 2021. Across the road is one of ATC’s future developments, The Standard of Augusta, which broke ground earlier this year.
CEO Woody Belangia is proud ATC Development is a part of the city’s progress.
“ATC will be building two urban mid-rise apartment buildings in downtown and so this move is a logical extension of this newest phase of our company growth,” said Belangia. “We want to play a part in the downtown Augusta renaissance, both now and in the future.”
Shelly Martin, ATC’s vice president of operations, is looking forward to the change of scenery.
"Our staff couldn't be more excited about getting to work in such an innovative and modern space and being walking distance to some of the best restaurants for lunch,” said Martin. “With our upcoming downtown apartment community, The Standard, it will be great to be right around the corner from our next project.”
Details about the building’s large event space will be available later this spring.
ATC Development, based in Augusta, Ga., began developing multi-family communities in 1975.
Its portfolio now consists of 11 properties and over 2,200 units in the Southeastern region. ATC designs, builds, owns and manages its own apartment portfolio - a process, unique to the industry, that the company credits to its sustainable success.
