You have an idea for a business. You may even have a business plan. So, are you ready to take the next step?

That next step—committing to launching a business—is sometimes the toughest for would-be entrepreneurs.

That’s why theClubhou.se wants to make it easy.

As a nonprofit 501(c)3, theClubhou.se has specialized in helping entrepreneurs make their dreams a reality for the past decade, inviting them to “Step Through, Be Amazing.” Every Tuesday through August 9, it is hosting a free virtual Business Viability Workshop where entrepreneurs can meet online with business leaders and experts from theClubhou.se and:

  • Talk over their business idea;

  • Review the numbers to evaluate their business potential;

  • Develop a clearer vision of what their business should look like;

  • Determine the next steps for growing their business.

“This is a working workshop,” says Eric Parker, founder of theClubhou.se. “We want entrepreneurs to be prepared to bear down to the heart of their business. We’ll take a deep dive into your finances and market to help you know where you need to focus your efforts in the early days of your business. All you need is a computer, internet access, and the willingness to be honest about what you hope to create.”

The workshop also serves as an interview for a training course that gives entrepreneurs the correct path to start their business: theClubhou.se’s Make Startups 12-week entrepreneurial training course, whichwas launched in part through grant funding. Entrepreneurs who are interested and qualified will be invited to join the course; financial aid is also available.

Offered evenings and virtually, Make Startups was developed in coordination with banks and investors to help entrepreneurs master the skills necessary to improve their access to capital. These skills include:

  • Planning: Create a business plan, including customer discovery, market analysis, and branding.

  • Technology: Incorporate technology for operational optimization

  • Financing: Establish in-roads for financing with a focus on accounting and bookkeeping.

  • Law: Consider your legal structure, licensing, and contracts.

Make Startups students also receive 6 additional months of membership at theClubhou.se, in addition to weekly one-on-one mentoring with business coaches and mentors. The fall session of Make Startupsbegins on Tuesday, September 27.

The next sessions of the free virtual Business Viability Workshop are July 19 and 26 and August 2 and 9, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
