TCSG & Augusta University Forge Statewide Transfer Agreement to Strengthen Cybersecurity Workforce

The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) and Augusta University have inked a statewide transfer agreement designed to strengthen the cybersecurity workforce in the region. This landmark collaboration opens doors for TCSG students pursuing an associate degree in Cybersecurity to seamlessly transition into Augusta University’s Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity program upon graduation.
The agreement is a testament to the shared commitment of TCSG and Augusta University to equip Georgia's workforce with the skills and expertise vital in today’s digital landscape. With Augusta emerging as a prominent cyber hub, this partnership positions students to tap into a dynamic and growing career field thriving with opportunities.
“In an increasingly digital world, the need for cybersecurity experts only continues to grow,” said Governor Brian P. Kemp. “Thanks to the great work of our teams at TCSG and Augusta University, even more opportunities are coming to Georgia students who will receive the training necessary to fill these open roles that are critical to the security of not just our state, but the entire country.”
TCSG offers certificate, diploma, and degree programs in cybersecurity designed to equip students with both practical skills and theoretical knowledge, preparing them for seamless transition into a bachelor’s degree program or immediate entry into the cybersecurity workforce. Augusta Technical College played a pivotal role in the collaboration with Augusta University, fostering educational pathways for cybersecurity students and championing the development of this statewide transfer agreement.

Augusta University, renowned as a cutting-edge research and educational institution, is a leader in cybersecurity education. The Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity program at Augusta University provides students with a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity principles, preparing them to tackle the evolving challenges of the digital age. Augusta University is designated a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education and is becoming a cybersecurity destination institution for aspiring cybersecurity students.
