Monday, June 2nd, 2025
The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce has announced Nate Boyer, former U.S. Army Green Beret and co-founder of Merging Vets and Players as the keynote speaker for its annual Military Appreciation Executive Luncheon. The event, presented by Piedmont Augusta, will be held Wednesday, June 18th at the Columbia County Exhibition Center.
"With so many military families calling Columbia County home, it’s essential that we take every opportunity to honor their service and sacrifices," said Russell Lahodny, President & CEO of the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce. "Bringing in Nate Boyer—a veteran who has dedicated his post-military life to uplifting fellow service members—is a powerful way to show our appreciation and reinforce our community’s deep commitment to those who serve."
Boyer, a prominent advocate for veteran empowerment, will share his story of service and his mission to support fellow veterans and former professional athletes as they transition to civilian life. He has also spent time in the film industry as an actor, director, and producer. The luncheon will also include the presentation of the Patriot Award, sponsored by Southeastern Residential, which honors a local business making a significant impact on the lives of veterans in Columbia County.
Area chambers and veteran-oriented organizations are joining the Columbia County Chamber’s efforts in honoring our military. Partners for the event include the Greater Augusta Black Chamber, North Augusta Chamber of Commerce, Thomson McDuffie Chamber, Alliance for Fort Eisenhower, and Veteran Golfers Association.
The event will begin at 11:00 a.m. with networking and a business expo. Lunch and the formal program will begin at 12:00 p.m. General admission is $45. Registration is required. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit ColumbiaCountyChamber.com or call 706-651-0018.
