Industry representatives presented Deal with a check representing the $3.1 billion in state and local tax revenue generated by tourism-related expenditures.

On December 28th the Development Authority of Columbia County purchased 271.9 acres at Exit 183 on Interstate 20 between Appling and Harlem. This site will serve as the foundation for Columbia County’s new industrial Park.

• UPS Pre-Orders 125 Tesla Electric Trucks

  UPS, which operates one of the largest commercial trucking fleets in the world, announced it has placed a reservation for 125 of Tesla’s new fully-electric Semi tractors. The new tractors will join UPS’s extensive alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicle fleet, comprised of trucks and tractors propelled by electricity, natural gas, propane and other non-traditional fuels.
