Georgia Lands 7 on Forbes' Richest Americans List

Georgia added one billionaire to Forbes magazine’s annual roster of the nation’s wealthiest people.
According to the 2013 Forbes 400, the richest Georgian is still Anne Cox Chambers, the 93-year-old daughter of James M. Cox, the media mogul who builtCox Enterprises Inc. She is No. 29 on the list with an estimated net worth of $13.5 billion.
In 2012, she ranked No. 32 with an estimated net worth of $10.7 billion.
“Her net worth has increased $2.8 billion from a year ago primarily due to a higher value for AutoTrader.com as a result of a reported private share sale,” Forbes reported.
