Goodwill to Start Back Vehicle Donations in Metro Augusta

oodwill Industries will soon begin collecting vehicle donations again in metro Augusta after a four-year hiatus.
Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA has signed a 10-year lease to occupy a 10,000-square-foot warehouse just off Interstate 20 at 655 Frontage Road that will provide space for storing donated vehicles in addition to donated clothes and household goods.
“We will be open and take other donations seven days a week,” said David Becker, the chief operating officer for Goodwill. “The location will serve several functions for Goodwill.”
The new donation center, which is off Scott Nixon Memorial Boulevard near CarMax, will open Nov. 15. There will be one or two full-time attendants working daily at the site.
