Vonage Holdings Corp. is mapping an Atlanta expansion that will initially create 200 jobs and significantly boost its office footprint.

Vonage made Atlanta its business solutions headquarters following last year’s acquisition of Vocalocity for $130 million. Now, Vonage is doubling down on the Peach State, lured by the labor pool and cost advantage.

“Atlanta is a key growth market,” said Wain Kellum CEO of Vocalocity, since rebranded as Vonage Business Solutions.

Vonage, which employs more than 300 locally, could require up to 200,000 square feet of office space in Atlanta over time. Based on real estate industry estimates, an office footprint of that size could accommodate up to 800 people.
