Owner, Norman Dunagan, will speak at two events during the week including South Aiken High School’s Chemistry class and the Community Service Network Meeting. On Monday, April 21st Mrs. Gunter’s class at South Aiken will learn about composting and the importance of recycling. On Tuesday, April 22nd Norman Dunagan will speak on making Aiken greener by recycling and composting at the Community Service Network meeting which is made up of businesses all over the CSRA. Dunagan will be bringing worms out to the Community Service Network meeting at the Aiken Electric Co-op to let the group compost their scraps of food from the event. 

The window of the Aiken Downtown Development Association will be decked out in a Greener Aiken display for the week. Signs will also be posted around Aiken with “green” messages. Greenworks will finish up Green Week on Saturday, April 26th at the Phinizy Swamp’s Swamp Stomp where they will teach kids about composting and bring the worms out once more.
