Some Overnighters in Big Crowd for Cabela’s Opening

More than 2,500 people turned out for the Thursday opening of outdoor retailer Cabela's on Woodruff Road in Greenville.
The 10,000-square-foot store is the Sidney, Neb.-based company’s first in South Carolina and its 52nd nationwide.
The Greenville store has 235 employees, including part-timers, said spokeswoman Liza Jones.
Cabela’s sells fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, boating and wildlife-catching gear, along with clothing and equipment. The store includes wildlife displays, a gun library, an indoor archery range, a mountain replica and fudge shop.
