Augusta's Administrator Search Draws Closer to End

Interim Administrator Tameka Allen has been the top woman in charge in Augusta for about five months. She took over once former administrator Fred Russell was fired.
"I enjoy what I do. I enjoy helping to move Augusta forward. I think when the commission started looking, they made it clear they wanted someone on the outside," Allen said.
Allen went on to say she did not apply for the administrator position, but District 5 Commissioner Bill Lockett expressed his support or her work.
