Another Augusta Disparity Study Could Be Put Off

Augusta Commissioners are back discussing how to get more city business into women- and minority-owned firms.
Five years ago, a $500,000 disparity study found that only 7 percent of city business was going to women- or minority-owned businesses, but city leaders did not use the study create a minority preference ordinance.
