Friday, June 27th, 2014
Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Dekoda Watson will hold the first annual Koda’s Kids Foundation Golf Tournament on Monday, June 30, 2014 with a 9 am Shotgun Start.
The tournament will be held at the Pine Ridge Club in Edgefield, South Carolina with a Captain’s Choice format. Mulligans will be sold, and the event includes door prizes for closest to the pin, longest drive, and best dressed. Watson will be golfing in the tournament and has issued a challenge to fellow players. “I may not be the best golfer, but I will be the flyest looking golfer on the course. I dare you to out dress me,” Watson adds.
The tournament entry is $60 per person or $225 per team and includes greens fees, a cart and lunch. Tournament participants will also receive NFL memorabilia signed by Dekoda Watson. All money raised during the tournament will go to Koda’s Kids Foundation which provides one scholarship for a student in each of the seven Aiken County high schools.
Watson explains, “I am excited that the foundation is hosting our first annual golf tournament. Our goal with Koda’s Kids Foundation is to provide support for deserving students in Aiken area schools. We would like to raise enough to help support the scholarship program as well as our annual Sports Camp.”
