P&G Closing Augusta Factory
Monday, December 8th, 2014
Procter & Gamble is closing its Augusta, Georgia factory in the next 12 to 18 months as part of a broader plan to consolidate North American manufacturing and distribution operations.
The move affects 190 workers, including 40 with P&G and 150 contractors, the consumer products giant says. It says it will offer new positions to P&G employees willing to relocate elsewhere and pay severance to those that choose not to move.
