Augusta Area Expects to Continue Economic Growth in 2015

In the churn of retail stores and restaurants coming and going, the big construction projects in 2014 were those that hit completion, such as Starbucks and Bridgestone. Business headlines in 2015 look to be dominated by apartments, offices and attractions.
Construction projects that will get underway or open this year include a water park in Columbia County, several apartment or senior living complexes throughout the metro area, and offices for major employers.
Economists are also optimistic that gains in jobs and declines in the unemployment rate will also continue throughout the year.
