Augusta's 84th Mayor Sworn In, One Augusta Begins

The City of Augusta officially welcomed its new leader following an Inauguration Ceremony. Hardie Davis was sworn in as the Garden City's 84th Mayor, making him the first African American elected as mayor since Richmond County and Augusta consolidated.
Citizens, business and government leaders and many others all took part in the ceremony held at the chapel on the Paine College Campus.
