Spartanburg Branch Manager Beverly Deal of Phillips Staffing, one of South Carolina’s largest and fastest-growing staffing and human capital solution providers, has earned the coveted Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification, demonstrating her mastery of technical and operational aspects of HR practices and U.S. laws and regulations.

The professional credential is essential for professionals who focus on HR program implementation, and recognizes Ms. Deal as an expert in the HR field, documenting a high level of knowledge and skills.  The certification is valid for three years.

A native of Mildenhall, England and current resident of Campobello, South Carolina, Ms. Deal joined Phillips in 2010 as Workforce Readiness Director.  She has two decades of experience in staff development and training, workforce development, and talent recruitment and management.  She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication.   

Ms. Deal is an authorized WorkKeys Job Profiler and a Career Development Facilitator Instructor, while also serving as Workforce Readiness Director for the South Carolina Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) State Council.  She is past President of the Spartanburg Human Resources Association, and a graduate of Leadership Greer, Leadership Spartanburg and Clemson Leadership Summit.

As Spartanburg Branch Manager, Ms. Deal works with both new and existing clients across Spartanburg County to provide staffing and human capital solutions that lead to increased growth and success for those clients.  She focuses her time working with businesses and organizations seeking talent primarily in the areas of light industrial, logistics and distribution, accounting, finance, office management and construction.
