Augusta-Area Business Leaders Press State Officials on Transportation

Throughout their day at the Capitol, business leaders from Augusta and Columbia County pressed state officials Tuesday on the transportation-funding plan pending in the House and how it would impact regions that have already passed a sales tax for roads.
Dozens of veteran executives and groups of promising future leaders endured long bus rides and seemingly endless meetings for the chance to learn about government. While they were in town, they also made sure they raised their apprehensions about the funding proposal.
