Augusta Welcomes General Missionary Baptist Convention of Georgia, Inc.

The Augusta Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is proud to welcome the General Missionary Baptist Convention of Georgia, Inc. for their Ushers & Health Professionals Annual Conference, March 26 - March 29, 2015. The national event will be hosted by the Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center offering Christian education, worship, rededication and fellowship. 2,000 attendees are expected to attend which will generate more than $512,981 in Direct Visitor Spending for the city of Augusta.
The conference will include eight classes and three seminars taught on Thursday and Friday, Worship Services, Thursday night, Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. The Fellowship banquet on Friday evening will feature The Wardlaw Brothers (TWB) from Lyons, GA and the 4th Street Church Steppers, from Columbus, GA.
The Ministry of Ushers and Health Professionals is a Christian Ministry that serves 600 Missionary Baptist churches within the State of Georgia. The Ministry’s purpose is to broaden, enlighten and promote a standard of excellence as they serve throughout the local churches within the community.
