At Thursday night's Columbia County Planning Commission meeting, planners agreed to hold off on a decision for the proposed Scuttle's Island water park in Grovetown. Despite the dozens of people who came to speak out against the water park, developer Benjamin Bell didn't show up to his own meeting. I caught up with Bell to find out why he hasn't come up with the permits the county's been asking for.

Managing Director of Scuttle's Island, Benjamin Bell, compares his process with Columbia County to going on a bad date. "If you're out with a girl and she doesn't want you... might as well take her home and get a new one. So, if the county doesn't want us here, unfortunately it's our home and we want to be here but if they don't, we're too far on. We're gonna build a water park somewhere.
