Goodwill Spring Job Fair Opens Opportunities With Augusta-Area Employers

The Job Connection of Goodwill industries of the CSRA will hold its annual Spring Job Fair from 1-4 p.m. Thursday, March 5, at the Snelling Center, 3165 Washington Road at Fury’s Ferry Road. The job fair is free to job-seekers and employers with current openings.
This job fair will bring together employers and applicants while highlighting the programs available through the Job Connection. More than two dozen employers, including Augusta National Golf Club, The Augusta Chronicle, Biomat USA, Club Car, Columbia County Board of Education, FPL Foods, Georgia Regents University The Home Depot, Medac, Richmond County schools, Rural Sourcing, Goodwill Industries and Helms College will be on site to provide information about current job openings in the Augusta area.
Helms College also will hold open house during the event, with information and tours available. This open house represents an opportunity for eligible prospective students to enroll for the first time with newly available Department of Veterans Affairs G.I. Bill benefits at Helms College.
To help job-seekers make their best first impression, Goodwill’s Job Connection adjacent to the Snelling Center will hold a Job Fair Boot Camp on Tuesday, March 3. Sessions will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon and from 2-4 p.m., taught by human resources professionals from businesses represented at the job fair. Job-seekers attending the boot camp will receive early entry to the job fair.
In 2014, Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA proudly provided career services to 24,514 individuals and helped find employment for more than 4,600.
