Local Businessman Buys Old Woolworth Building, Plans to Turn it into ‘Something Valuable’

According to a fable, Rumpelstiltskin could spin straw into gold. T.R. Reddy may not quite be able to do that, but the Augusta businessman has shown a knack for turning old properties into something valuable.
Reddy demonstrated that a few years ago when he bought the old Regency Inn on Broad Street, stripped it down to the steel frame and rebuilt it as a state-of-the-art Holiday Inn Express.
“I try to take something that’s not valuable and make it more valuable,” he said.
